Our Support Services include:

  • Annual Mother’s Day Event- A time used to Celebrate Mothers...My Mother,  Your Mother

  • Annual Family Picnic- Originally started a few years ago as a means of getting our families together and has continued to grow to outside of our family - a community event - last one had nearly 400 people in attendance for food, fun and fellowship

  • Annual Stewart “Spirit” Award- This community award was established in honor of Susan Stewart, a 1996 Canadian Women’s Basketball Olympian and Mississauga Hall of Fame Athlete. After suffering a devastating brain injury, Susan demonstrated exceptional determination. She resisted the odds of her disorder and has resiliently persevered beyond the set-backs of her illness. Despite personal challenges, Susan coaches women’s basketball and continues to exhibit an inspiring spirit to serve her community.  1)Strong spirit of determination 2) resilience and 3) community service.

  • Conferences & Workshops: Throughout the year EWS hosts interactive workshops and conferences addressing particular life skills that will help to improve personal/professional development and as well and provide spiritual upliftment.

  • E-Girls Youth Mentorship Group:  We understand the need to respond to the social and spiritual needs of the next generation of young women within our community by providing relative programs, activities, and events that will allow them to build a strong foundation of faith that will enable them to express and share their faith through their own thoughts, words & actions. OUR PLEDGE- "We are girls who know who we are from the inside out and embrace a sense of identity, belonging, worth and purpose everyday"

  • Freedom Team:  We minister to female inmates and ex-offenders, by bringing the love of Jesus Christ to them. We work with prison chaplains, and within existing guidelines, as established by Provincial and Federal Ministries of Corrections.

  • Monthly Empowerment Group: Each month we meet with a group of women and have real conversations about real situations that women face on a daily basis and provide support, encouragement and resources to help women heal.

  • Prayer Support Line: At EWS, we believe in the power of prayer. Our prayer partners consider it an honor and privilege to pray with and for you. We stand firmly on God’s promises that when we call Him, He will answer (Isaiah 65:24). Our prayer team is available to intercede on your behalf and take your request before God.   • The heART of Embrace Art - An annual event in support of the movement against Violence Against Women- program includes artists, musicians spoken word along with a key note speaker
     

  • Source of Survival: S.O.S is the international Morse Code distress signal. In popular usage S.O.S became associated with such phrases as “save our ship” and “save our souls”. Embrace Women’s Services (EWS) recognizes the need to help those who are in spiritual and emotional distress. Source of Survival or S.O.S is an interactive life skills group for women living with the depression and anxiety.
